You can designate an heir today and we'll store the assignment, but the 24-month-inactivity detection cron that automatically notifies them isn't live yet. Until v2, contact hello@fablely.ai directly for any heir-trigger event.
For estate planning, consult a licensed attorney. This setting only tells Fablely's internal systems who should receive your capsules if you become inactive. It has no binding legal effect outside Fablely.
How the inactivity trigger works
- Fablely tracks the last time you sign in or use your account (
last_active_at). - If 24 months pass without any activity, we send you a "we miss you" email.
- If you don't respond within 90 more days, we email your designated heir with a one-time link to claim access to your sealed capsules.
- Your heir signs in (or creates a Fablely account if they don't have one) and verifies their email.
- They get read-only access to capsules you'd already scheduled — they can't create or change anything you sealed.
You can update or remove your heir anytime, and signing in resets the inactivity clock.
Download everything we hold about you — capsules, media, family tree, and audit history — as standard files (MP3, JPG, PDF, JSON) sent to your verified email.
Deletion is permanent after the 30-day grace period. Take a moment to download your data first.
