Why credits, not a subscription? Because you shouldn't pay monthly for a story you write once. Your free plan refills 3 credits every month; if you need more, buy a pack that never expires. Publishing a public page is always free, on every plan.

Pricing questions

Is Fablely free?

Yes, to start. You can write up to 3 stories every month and publish shareable public pages for free — no account needed to try it. You only pay if you want more stories (credits) or a printed hardcover keepsake book.

What is a story credit?

One credit writes one story — a fresh generation or a rewrite. Your free plan includes 3 credits every month. Need more? Buy a pack that never expires: 10 credits for $9, 30 for $19, or 100 for $49.

Do I need a subscription?

No. There's no subscription. Free renews its 3 monthly credits automatically, and paid credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire. You only pay for what you want.

How much is the hardcover book?

The printed hardcover keepsake book starts at $59, printed and shipped to you — the one copy of a story that lasts forever, independent of any app or account. It's launching soon.

Is publishing a public story page free?

Yes, always — on every plan. Stories are private by default; you choose which ones to publish.
